Why "petdance"?

Years ago when Amy and I first moved in together, we needed to get return address labels. We went to the stationery store to fill out the form, and found that we had four lines available:

Andy Lester & Amy Coughlin
123 Sesame Street
McHenry, IL 60050
______________________________

That last blank line seemed like such a waste. We were paying for up to four lines of text, so by God we should be using four lines of text.

I was reminded of a friend of my dad's, or maybe it was Dad's third wife, who referred to his (their?) house as the "Elvis Lives Forever commune and hydroponic tomato farm." After a full 30 seconds of brainstorming, Amy & I came up with

Andy & Amy's Pet Supplies &
Dance Instruction
123 Sesame Street
McHenry, IL 60050

A few months later when it was time for me to get a domain name, and I was brainstorming with Dad, he suggested combining "pet supplies and dance instruction" into "petdance". A quick Google found no occurrence of that string anywhere, and the die was cast.
